Gerd Kullak-Ublick MDProfessor and Chair The Division of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology provides consultation services in the field of pharmaceutical therapy. Additional central points of focus are pharmaceutical drug safety, conducting Phase I studies, and drug interaction consultations. The Division of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology provides diagnostic services and therapy for undesired side effects from drugs, drug interactions, toxic liver damage, and hepatic porphyria. Specialists advise physicians and patients in order to optimise the individual drug therapies. The treatment of patients with liver diseases and chronic inflammatory intestinal diseases are other central points of focus. Due to the tailoring of individual drug therapies, routine pharmacogenetic analyses are performed in the division. The diagnostis and treatment of acute and chronic poisonings are conducted together with the Swiss Center of Toxicology.
