The Division of Neurology offers diagnostic procedures, standard and novel treatments, and thus comprehensive care for patients with a broad spectrum of diseases of the brain, spinal cord, and muscular system. The division covers an enormous spectrum of experience and expertise. The strong alliance in diagnosis, treatment, and research makes it possible for the medical service to be continuously optimized and skilled and to ensure compassionate care.

The Division of Neurology is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of the following diseases: stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, epilepsy, sleep disorders, pain, and vertigo and vestibular disorders. The Division of Neurology disposes of two wards with forty beds. For many years, the division has held a leading position in the field of the vestibular system. The initiation and conduct of innovative clinical trials have become an important focus of the division. Together with the clinical partner disciplines of Neurosurgery and Neuroradiology and many other cooperating institutions at the University Hospital Zürich, the Division of Neurology establishes multidisciplinary competence centers for epilepsy, cerebrovascular diseases and neurooncology.
