In our day care centers, qualified professionals care lovingly for your children from the age of three months until they start kindergarten. Other benefits include long opening hours, year-round availability and subsidies. It is one of the largest operating day care centers in Switzerland and there are several locations close to the UHZ. It was established about 50 years ago and has been QualiKita certified since 2013.

The UHZ provides furnished rooms and studios for its employees. The properties are all located near the University Hospital and can be reached easily on foot or by public transport. The rental period is limited to the duration of training or employment, up to a maximum of two years.

The personnel committee represents and upholds the interests of employees of all professions at University Hospital Zurich in accordance with legal requirements. It promotes and supports collaboration between hospital management, other leadership areas, and employees of University Hospital Zurich. The personnel committee receives suggestions and criticism from all professions and fields, in particular concerning organizational issues, accident prevention, staff legal problems, further education and leisure activities. The personnel committee comprises representatives of all professional groups at University Hospital Zurich, and is elected every four years.
